It is no trick I like the book, parent Hacks: 134 brilliant shortcuts forever with Kids; I absolutely inhaled it when I very first checked out it and laughed as I learned new solutions to old pesky problems. before we celebrated with a introduce celebration playdate, I had already checked out the whole thing and implemented a bunch of weird hacks around my house. and I asked author Asha Dornfest what were her most valuable tools in a Mama-MacGyver-Parent Hacker’s Go Bag.
While Duct tape is incredibly useful, I was surprised to see it didn’t make her top ten list. She said, remarkable as it is, it is not as multipurpose as other a few of her preferred things.
Here are Asha’s top 10 picks for parents to keep on-hand all the time (in no specific order):
painter’s tape (get a 3-pack!)
Glad press ‘n seal Wrap
vinyl tablecloth (lots of colors)
Band-Aids
kitchen shears
laundry basket (stackable)
Post-it notes (at least 3 in x 3 in)
zip top bags (both quart and gallon size)
baby wipes (keep the tub!)
hanging shoe organizer
Honorable mentions: sillicone muffin cup, maxi pads, hair bands, pool noodles, mitten clips, and shelf liner. checked out the book to see what she does with all those goodies!
